A Hero King

Today we celebrate our Hero His Majesty, Omukama Chwa II Kabalega

We give honor to the bounty of kingly virtue with which he ruled the Kingdom of Bunyoro – Kitara and conducted his life, in service to his country.

The virtues that we see demonstrated by our National Hero are as follows:

Justice – in protecting his people under attack, from conquest
Conviction – which reveals the strength of his truth
Temperance – to know to always stay steadfast
Stability and Tenacity – being a rock of strength during times of strife
Generosity – in giving his all for the welfare of his Kingdom and his People
Perseverance – to build monuments to remember victory
Devotion – to serve even in exile
Courage – to stand and fight when all seemed lost
Fortitude – to win when all odds seemed against him.
With all of these, he served his Kingdom and his People, who we also serve. Let us honor him in prayer

Forgive, just as Christ forgave you.  And, in addition to all these things, put on love, which ties things together in perfect unity.
