In 2013, His Majesty, the Omukama of Bunyoro – Kitara Kingdom, dedicated his Kingdom to God.
His Majesty and the Royal Family are very devout Christians of the Anglican faith and His Majesty, the Omukama has expressed a desire for His Kingdom, Bunyoro – Kitara, to become the ground for peace, mercy, and harmony; His Majesty’s great dream and wish is that all faiths may co-exist in His Kingdom harmoniously.
After years of active practical and spiritual preparatory work, several clerics of the episcopal rank, at the instigation of His Majesty, the Omukama, established a Patriarchate to spiritually support and serve Bunyoro – Kitara Kingdom.
The Office of the Abuna, Catholicos, and Patriarch of the Patriarchate of Bunyoro – Kitara Kingdom hereby invites the leaders of the various churches and beliefs to enter into a relationship of true Christian Brotherhood with the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom, in order to realize His Majesty’s Royal Wish for His Kingdom to be a place from whence Peace, Mercy and Harmony springs.
