Today we commemorate the one hundred sixty-eighth anniversary of the birth of His Majesty, the Omukama Chwa II Kabalega, National Hero of the Republic of Uganda, and Hero of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom.
Let us appreciate how His Majesty, Omukama Chwa II Kabalega revived the prosperity of the Kingdom, approached his royal duties with regal drive and intelligence, and how he fought invaders with an unrivaled tenacity.
Let us also appreciate how His Majesty, Omukama Chwa II Kabalega sought to enhance the knowledge of his people’s physicians with both preventative inoculations and cesarean section surgeries intended to improve maternal and infant survival rates.
May we, as representatives of the Kingdom of his descendants, agree and embrace, in a true spirit of sibling-hood, a concerted effort to increase the prosperity of the Kingdom, demonstrate drive and intelligence in approaching our projects on behalf of the Kingdom, and bring unrivaled tenacity to our efforts, that we may assist the Kingdom of His Majesty, Omukama Chwa II Kabalega, to thrive.
